How, then, can we recalibrate the speed of our lives in such a way that it honors, mirrors, and is readily informed by, the speed of the human heart? If we don’t, how can we possibly imagine ever getting “caught up” to anything sacred, deeply authentic, loving, healing, or sufficient? How will we feel we are ever getting closer to catching up with some quiet contentment, sustained in the gentle pace of the heart, of living at the speed of enough? Wayne Muller from A Life of Being, Having, and Doing Enough
Feeling out of touch with my soul, hungry for spaciousness, I journeyed to Swakane Canyon, a few minutes north of Wenatchee up the Columbia.
Deep stillness can give the heart time to process.
Pilgrimage has been done at all times by all people. I recommend you journey to the Sacred regularly. Don’t wait till the hunger has you staggering. Journey before you need it.
Obviously, you don’t need to travel hours to achieve results although you may.
You may be able to do it in the back yard or your local park or even in your living room.
You can watch Canyon Stillness, my recent one minute video. Pay attention to the deep stillness.
Walk in beauty,
William
