Weiqi? Say What?

Weiqi? Say What, William?

Weiqi or Wei Chi (pronounced way chi) can be translated as your vital natural energy defenses.

My computer defenses failed and a pernicious villain breached my virus software. After days of trying to get rid of it, I am doing a clean install.  This is a great process where one removes everything from the hard drive.

So what?

Don’t let your body’s defenses get low.  I’ll show you what you can do in a moment.

Don’t Do This

Just like you want to keep your virus software up-to-date, don’t let your take-care-of-yourself practices slip.

Do This

Rule of Thumb:

When you’re under stress, do more to take care of yourself rather than less.

OK?

I recommend that you beef up your defenses with How to Get Well, Be Well, Stay Well Program.  You’ll find details HERE. (Members of Body & Soul Mentor can get it in the members Mentoring Programs section.)

One of the sections talks about hitting yourself.  Do that.  It is how you build the Weiqi excellently.

Again, weiqi is your vital energy, life force, that takes care of your immunity to punches and to falls and to disease.

My first Taiji teacher talked about Iron Shirt Qigong.  You start with gently hitting yourself, then move to harder hitting, then to bamboo sections, then iron rods…

This process will make you powerful in the martial arts, impermeable to injury and pain.

It’s useful, but a strong immune system is more practical for most of us.

Here’s a quote.

The Iron Shirt Chi Kong set can build up Wei chi. When one’s Wei chi is strong, the practitioner will not get injured easily. Also, training in this set can strengthen one’s immune system. Its benefits are known to include weight loss, increased energy, increased appetite, helping insomnia, as well as warding off disease. As a result, many people who are not martial artists, still train in Iron Shirt Chi Kong.

So as we move into the dark season, hit yourself.  Often.

Just make a soft fist and hit or drum your body all over.  As you progress you can hit harder, but mostly it’s your intention to strength you Weiqi that does the work.

Use your imagination to visualize your immune system strong and potent like wearing an iron shirt.  Or a Kevlar one.

When you get How to Get Well, Be Well, Stay Well Program, watch the video in the program for how you harness the hitting to the acupuncture meridians.  It’s easy and fun.

And way powerful.

Here’s where you can get the How to Get Well, Be Well, Stay Well Program

Go for it. Get Well. Stay Well

Walk in beauty,

William
