A Fun Way to Honor Your Art or Your Child’s Art
Finally. I have decided I need a tablet computer, one with a keyboard. Need. Right. It’s a toy that might have some delightful uses that I can use to justify my purchase. By the way, I still don’t own a cell phone.
The ASUS Transformer I settled on comes in Gray or gray. But that can be fixed with a laptop skin, a protective material that adheres to its surface making it pretty.
My daughter Sasha introduced me to skins at Nuvango.com. They ask artists to create images for them and then Nuvango converts the images into skins for laptops, tablets, smart phones, iPods, or play stations. They can also convert the images into T shirts, fine art prints, or a stretched canvas painting.
They do all this at reasonable prices and you can banish your ugly laptop as I plan to do.
Here’s where you come in…
You can buy my art to decorate your life. The income resulting from my commissions will be used as a scholarship fund for people who wish to follow their hearts into developing art form whatever that may be.
Initially, those funds will go towards Sasha’s schooling where she plays with Grizzly Bears at Washington State University. Her art? Nature whisperer. Like many folks, she’ll be inventing it.
Later after her school is paid for by all the means we have, then I’ll use the commissions to support other folks.
Honor Your Own Art
For many, the humble kitchen refrigerator has become the place to display your children’s art. You can honor your own art and your child’s by putting it up on Nuvango like a big refrigerator. It doesn’t cost you anything to post, and it’s easy set up an account and post.
You don’t have to sell it or make it available for others, but it might be cool.
Do consider spiffing up your phone or laptop with a skin of your own or of your child’s.
Creating your own skin passes my playful test. Things that makes you more playful heal you by bringing us out of the fight/flight stress zone. Creating the art puts you firmly in your right brain, your tranquil, rest, and restore side. You get to be in flow.
Healing and playful – what’s not to love.

More Art
You can see more of my art in my two books. These books go into detail on how to make art that moves you into your right brain, your Buddha brain. That’s the point of the books. My art illustrates that you can do this too. It’s good right brain play.

Obviously, these books and the skins make great highly personalized gifts.
Get the books. Go forth and play.
Note: I painted the image for the laptop above as a present for Suzanne because she likes Quanyin. You can find the painting in my book Drawing the Sacred.
